How Long Does It Take to Get a Tradie Website Built?

One of the most common reasons tradies put off getting a website is the idea that it's going to take ages. Meetings, back and forth emails, endless revisions. In reality it doesn't have to be like that.

With a traditional web designer

A typical freelancer or agency build for a tradie site can take anywhere from four to eight weeks. There's usually an initial meeting, a quote, back and forth on design, a round or two of revisions, and then a review before launch. It's not a bad process but it does take time and a fair bit of your input.

With a done-for-you service

At TradiesPage the whole process takes a few days from when you send us your details. You fill in a short email reply with your business information and photos, we build the site, and you get a preview link to check it over. Once you're happy and the invoice is paid, it goes live. Most clients are online within a week.

What slows things down

The main thing that slows down any website build is getting information and photos from the client. The more prepared you are when you reach out, the faster it goes. Have a rough idea of your services, your main suburb, your contact details, and a few photos of your work, and the whole thing moves quickly.

The honest answer is that a good tradie website doesn't need to take long. The work that takes time is the writing, the layout, and the setup. If someone else is handling that for you, you can be live in days.
